EduGears AI LTI provides AI-powered teaching tools — question generation, slide creation, study guides, grading, tutoring, lesson planning, and worksheets — that integrate directly into your LMS via the LTI standard.

BYOK lets you connect your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), DeepSeek, or Sarvam AI. We use your key (encrypted at rest) only when making AI calls for your platform, so charges go directly to your provider account at their rate — there's no monthly credit limit on our side. Sign in to the admin portal, open AI Providers, paste your key, and we validate it against the provider before saving. Gemini Flash is cost-effective with good performance and reasoning.

We continuously evaluate the leading AI providers and models against real teaching workloads. The default is currently Google Gemini Flash — it strikes a strong balance of performance, reasoning, file handling, and cost. If you'd prefer a different provider or model, the Bring Your Own Key option is free: connect your OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), DeepSeek, or Sarvam AI key and we'll route your calls through it.

We use three simple buckets so the math is easy to remember. 1 credit: a chat turn (tutor or assistant) and grading a single short-answer or essay question. 3 credits: any single multi-step generation — lesson plan, slides, study guide, worksheet, syllabus decompose, a question set of up to 5, or the overall AI feedback summary on a graded quiz. 10 credits: AI grading of a submitted file (PDF, document, image), and AI image generation in the editor (per image — 2 candidates = 20 credits). If you'd rather pay only for what each call actually costs, the Bring Your Own Key option is free — connect your provider key and you'll be billed at the provider's rate.

Each generation per lesson is 3 credits. A 10-lesson module with lesson plans + slides + a 5-question set per lesson costs 10 × (3 + 3 + 3) = 90 credits. We show a credit estimate up front before the module is generated so you can review and adjust the scope before it runs.

Auto-graded questions (multiple choice, multiple select) cost 0 credits — they're checked against the answer key. Each AI-graded question (short answer, essay) costs 1 credit. The overall AI feedback summary on the test costs 3 credits. Example: a 10-question quiz with 6 multiple choice + 4 short answer + AI feedback = 0 + 4 + 3 = 7 credits total.

Grading a submitted file (PDF, document, image) costs 10 credits per file. The AI reads the file's contents and produces rubric-based feedback in a single pass, regardless of length.

Install EduGears AI as an LTI 1.3 external tool in your LMS (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or Brightspace). During registration you will receive a claim code to link your platform to the billing portal.

A claim code (e.g. EG-XXXX-XXXX) is automatically generated when your LMS registers with EduGears AI. You enter this code in the admin portal to link your platform and manage its subscription. You can find it in your LMS dashboard under the EduGears AI section.

Sign in to the admin portal, navigate to your platform, and click "Manage Billing." From the Stripe billing portal you can switch between Basic, Pro, and Premium plans. Changes are applied immediately with prorated billing.

Click "Manage Billing" on your platform page and choose "Cancel plan" in the Stripe portal. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period — you will not lose access immediately. You can resubscribe at any time.

Yes. Each LMS platform has its own claim code and subscription. From the portal dashboard, click "Link Another Platform" and enter the new claim code. You can manage billing for each platform independently.

When your monthly AI credit limit is reached using the EduGears AI provider, AI-powered tools will be paused until the next billing cycle or you upgrade. You can also top up with one-time credit packs starting at $5 for 900 credits (Plus pack: $10 for 2,000 credits) — credits never expire and stack on any plan. Alternatively, connect your own API key (BYOK) from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, or Sarvam AI for unlimited AI credits with no monthly limits.

Yes. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider trusted by millions of businesses worldwide. We never store your credit card information on our servers — all payment data is handled entirely by Stripe.
